Market Overview:

– Zira’s price rises to 3.34% off at ₹27,205, as the export demand revealed adverse weather concerns in enlargement, domestic and global supply and major production areas

El Niño Outbreak and Water Reduction have made the prospects of sowing and production in Rajasthan and Gujarat uncertain. The Government of Gujarat has declared Jamnagar, Devbhu Dwarka, Portbandar and Kutch as districts suffering from water deficiencies, thereby increasing concern on agricultural water availability

Indian cumin demand has grown due to the limited Syrian supply, while growing domestic farming in China reduces dependence on its Indian export. India’s cumin production can drop to 90–92 lakh bags this year as per industry estimate, while the last year was 1.10 crore bags. The production in Gujarat is 42-45 lakh bags, 48-50 lakh bags in Rajasthan

concerns have emerged even globally; China’s production is estimated 70,000–80,000 tonnes due to adverse weather, while Syria and Turkey will produce 9,000–10,000 tonnes and 10,000–11,000 tonnes respectively

Technical Analysis:

technically having short coverage in the market, as the open interest 10.2% of the components remain 6,210 contracts, while the prices risen at ₹880. this means rally mainly comes from covering short position. zira’s support is at ₹26,580; the price can check ₹25,960 if dropped below. the resistance is at ₹27,560; the target can go up to ₹27,910 if it is above this level

However, profit bookings, rapid sales of farmers and stable or growing sowing sector expectations in Saurashtra and Western Rajasthan can limit further exponential. The processors limited the purchase only for urgent needs due to the prices high in domestic spot trading

Conclusions for Jeera Traders:

Zira’s prices are upward due to export demand and supply stress, but may remain limited to further speed due to farmers’ sales and potential sowing level stability. Traders should manage risk taking care of support resistance levels
